Hiking trails in Sm\u00e5land<\/h2>\n

Discover wonderful hiking in Sm\u00e5land with Hultsfred\u2019s hiking trails. Forest, lakes and wonderful nature! <\/p>\n

Two of the trails below can be started from Hultsfred and the campsite. You can reach other hiking trails by car. Choose from the areas of Stora Hammarsj\u00f6n, J\u00e4rnforsen and Virserum. <\/p>\n

Check out each hiking trail\u2019s superb stage sheet with map and info! We have some stage sheets in physical form at the reception, come in and ask and we will help you out on your adventure. <\/p>\n

L\u00f6nnebergaleden<\/h2>\n

L\u00f6nnebergaleden is a very long hiking trail that crosses the upper part of Hultsfred Municipality. Walking the entire L\u00f6nnebergaleden would take you several days, but fortunately it is divided into stages, perfect for day trips. <\/p>\n

Stages 6 \u2013 7 goes through the campsite. The hike is very varied with small peaks, nice views and deep magical forests. <\/p>\n

You walk on old church roads, pass local parks and some memorial marks.<\/p>\n

Hammarsj\u00f6leden<\/h2>\n

This hiking trail begins at Kalvk\u00e4tte garden in Hultsfred. Here you can park the car and start the excursion by exploring the beautiful garden with its perennial flower beds, herb garden and small cute rose garden. The hiking trail from there on takes you on paths and major gravel roads all the way to Stora Hammarsj\u00f6n. The last part of the trail has more hilly terrain and takes you through the nature reserve. <\/p>\n

At the end of the trail, when you get to Stora Hammarsj\u00f6n, you will find the swimming area at your disposal. More hiking trails also start from here!<\/p>\n

This hiking trail takes you all the way around Stora Hammarsj\u00f6n! A wonderful day trip that takes you in a circular loop. <\/p>\n

Perfect with the trail\u2019s start & finish at Stora Hammarsj\u00f6n\u2019s swimming area for a well-deserved dip in the lake. The hiking trail takes you on a narrow path along the lake. It is relatively flat ground through the forest and some ridges takes you over the more wet ground. During almost the entire hike you will see the water. <\/p>\n

From Hammarsj\u00f6n there are also three other hiking trails that starts. So if you want to return for more there is plenty to explore!<\/p>\n

Stora J\u00e4rnforsenleden<\/h2>\n

This red hiking trail is the longest in J\u00e4rnforsen and it takes you about half a day to explore. A very beautiful and varied hiking trail for you who want to walk a circular trail. <\/p>\n

The hike consists of a lot of ups and downs, but you will be rewarded with nice views, adventurous ravines and nice waterways.<\/p>\n

In some places along the hiking trail, there are windbreaks to stop at and also to spend the night for those who wish.<\/p>\n

In J\u00e4rnforsen\u2019s hiking area there are several fantastic hiking trails and all have their start right outside the community.<\/p>\n

At the start of the trail there is a barbecue area, parking and a toilet. Lilla J\u00e4rnforsenleden is a circular loop and is marked with a yellow marking. <\/p>\n

Even during this hike, there is the possibility of a dip in the lake about halfway from the starting point.<\/p>\n

Stenleden<\/h2>\n

Stenleden is a shorter loop in J\u00e4rnforsen, marked with blue markings.<\/p>\n

At the start & finish of the hiking trail there is parking, barbecue area and toilet. The hike Stenleden takes you straight into the Sm\u00e5land forest. On a forest path you get around this circular hike. <\/p>\n

We recommend a visit to The Judges Ring. According to tradition, the area must have been a courthouse called The Judges Ring. After being convicted, the culprits were thrown into Em\u00e5n river. <\/p>\n

When you walk Virserumsleden, you can start your hike through the nature reserve L\u00e4nsmansg\u00e5rds\u00e4ngen. But there are also other good places to start your hike if you wish. <\/p>\n

This hiking trail takes you through the old industrial community Hjort\u00f6str\u00f6m and further around the lake via Dackestupet, the holiday village and Virserum\u2019s community.<\/p>\n

This is a wonderfully varied hike on paths and roads.<\/p>\n

When you walk the hike of Hjortenleden, you walk on fine gravel roads through agricultural landscapes and villages. The gravel roads are mixed with smaller paths through the forest. <\/p>\n

During the Hjortenleden hike, you will pass cultural monuments such as Knallakorset and N\u00e4cken, as well as hydropower plants and mills.<\/p>\n

We recommend packing swimwear for the hike as there is also the opportunity for a dip in the lake!<\/p>\n

Bj\u00f6rnn\u00e4sslingan is locals personal favourite. A loop in the nature reserve that starts from Stora Hammarsj\u00f6n, just outside of Hultsfred. <\/p>\n

Choose between hiking the trail of 2 km (blue trail) or 3.5 km (red trail). Both hiking trails are in hilly terrain. <\/p>\n
